Andrew Kent is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal
Access Surgeon based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital
in Guildford, UK since 2001.
He is Director of Gynaecological Surgery at the Minimal
Access Therapy Training Unit and was Clinical Director for
the Masters programme in Advanced Gynaecological
Endoscopy, at the University of Surrey. He is currently
President of the British Society for Gynaecological
Endoscopy (BSGE) and is a member of the Women’s and
Children’s NHSE CRG for specialised services.
He runs the Guildford Endometriosis Centre in collaboration with Professor Timothy
Rockall (Colorectal Surgeon). Guildford is a nationally and internationally recognised
tertiary referral centre for the treatment of severe endometriosis including
rectovaginal disease. It is one of the few centres worldwide with published data on
the successful treatment of this complicated condition.
